Title
0151D6 medieval ampulla
Description
English: Medieval lead alloy ampulla, 47mm high and 35mm wide. The ampulla is in good condition with a beige patina. It is circular with a short neck and has both side lugs, which are 10mm long, intact. One side is decorated with a scallop shell design, the other has a lombardic H which is crowned. This symbol would suggest St Thomas Becket of Canterbury and a date of 1300-1500.
