Description
English: Roman copper alloy horse fitting 51mm long and 33mm wide. The object consists of a a copper alloy plate with iron rivets hinged to an openwork plate with a central slot. This is the 'female' part of a keyhole strap fastening from a Roman cavalry horse harness, or infantry strap junction.
