Tes on the ball andplayed like mad. But in spite of everything we lost two-thirds the length of the field and thenone of their little half-backs circled our end for a touch-down. In the second half our lino wasstrengthened by a few changes, but it didnt do much good ; we couldnt overcome their weight.We held them in their own territory for awhile, but finally had to yield. I was a tiger then,sure, and its a wonder some of them werent hurt the way I grabbed them. Sometimes thebleachers called my name with nine rahs, but I dont know why. Played the whole game for our side? Well our boys were getting weak, and my big lazyframe never did get tired, so why shouldnt I work? At last the signal came for me to go round the end. Someway I got through all of themand was up pretty near the goal, when, in dodging their full-back, something seemed to give way

They say Oberlin madeanother touch-down after that, hut I didnt remember anything else until I found myself lying ona couch alone in a strange room. They had carried me there from the field, as the most convenient place to patch me up, and after the doctors were through, they had dressed me after a fashion, preparatory to taking mehome. I started to get up, but my knee gave such a confounded twitch that I just fell back withoutthe nerve to try again. Eh? Yes, dislocated and the ligaments torn loose. I must have grunted or something, any way there was a rustle in the next room and thenext minute the doorway framed the prettiest picture it ever had or ever will again.
