THE SEVENTEENTH ANNUAL REPORT OF THESCHOOL FOR NURSES Mr. President and Members of the Board of Managers: This seventeenth year of the School has been one of readjustment fromwar conditions, with a gradual return to normal, until at the close of the yearno evidences remain of an incomplete graduate nurse staff or of other formsof disorganization. The general policy of the School in its methods of nursing the patients ofthe Hospital and of providing nurse education for its students has remainedunchanged. Two important affiliations by which students may select training in thecare of those mentally and nervously ill at the Chicago State Hospital, andin Public Health Nursing at the School of Civics and Philanthropy, have beenconsummated and it is hoped that before long there may be brought about auniversity affiliation which will allow selected students to secure, within a fiveyears period, both the nurses diploma and the degree of Bachelor of Science.
