Description
中文（臺灣）：圖為萬佛寺前山（大雄寶殿）影像，攝於1990年間。萬佛寺創建於1971年，位於臺灣省議會東側，開山住持聖印法師秉持「光大人間佛教」的理念，歷經十餘年辛苦建設，成為臺灣中部最具完整性的寺剎。全區包括萬佛山、萬佛殿、藥師大佛、佛學院、念佛道場、佛研所、佛學圖書館、慈明商工職校等。可惜，莊嚴的寺院建築，於1999年921大地震中震毀，大佛傾頹，臺灣蒙難，震攝人心的景象曾經成為臺灣大地震的代表意象，所幸，僧眾全部平安，災後建造的鐵皮屋道場繼續弘法利生的工作。（撰寫者：吳東明）
