Description
中文：故總統經國先生，生前以親民愛民的胸襟廣受民眾愛戴。

民國56年（1967）3月23日，時為國防部長的經國先生來馬祖視察防務，並蒞臨馬祖初級中學參訪。當時我們正在上體育課。體育老師是來自成功隊（蛙人）的義教─高華安老師。高老師因多次突擊敵區，成功完成任務，故曾獲國軍戰鬥英雄表揚。那一天下午，十多輛軍車，在憲兵引導之下，從學校的北大門駛入。此刻我們才恍然大悟，校長及主任之所以守候司令台的原因。

一行長官通過大操場，準備向南側大門移動。那一天，我們的課目是「棒球拋接練習」。經國先生走近陳秀華同學身邊，親切的垂詢再三。或許是聽不懂他的寧波國語，令秀華感到既靦腆又尷尬。後來看到大人們愉悅的神情時，才使緊張的情緒緩和下來。
