中文（臺灣）：館舍落成於1915年，為臺灣現存最早的專業博物館，為文藝復興風格之新古典歷史式樣建築，依據嚴謹的設計規範，引用希臘神廟柱列及羅馬萬神殿圓頂等古典建築元素，構築優雅的外觀與華麗的內部空間，極具建築藝術價值。館舍典藏品以臺灣本土及南洋之人類學、地學、動物學、植物學之標本與文物為主，亦曾為日據時期臺灣總督府美術展覽及光復後臺灣省美術展覽之場所，在臺灣博物館發展史及美術史上具有重要地位。
