中文（臺灣）：「盡磅」是指磅秤已到達極限，無法秤其重了。此句歇後語意喻事情已達到極限或走到盡頭了。蘇澳鎮位於宜蘭縣的東南方，濱臨太平洋，是著名的蘇花公路及臺灣鐵路管理局北迴線起點，亦為通往東台灣必經之城鎮。1980年北迴鐵路通車之前，台鐵的「宜蘭支線」以蘇澳站為終點，故以「火車行到蘇澳站」來形容到達盡頭之意。 「蘇澳」之名，有謂係因1821年(道光元年)蘇士尾入墾而名。惟從1808年(嘉慶13年)福建巡撫張師誠奏報〈曉諭民番並添撥兵船會剿朱濆賊匪情形〉、1810年(嘉慶15年)閩浙總督方維甸〈奏請噶瑪蘭收入版圖狀〉 、1813年(嘉慶18年)楊廷理(議開台灣後山噶瑪蘭節略)等文獻查之，均已載有蘇澳之名。故證此說有待商榷。另一說為依17世紀西班牙海圖標示蘇澳海灣為 聖佬楞佐（Baye San Lorenzo），以及1650年代荷蘭海圖稱此地為Bay van St.Laurens(聖勞倫斯)推論，「蘇澳」一名可能是漢人自西名取"蘇"之音，加上漢語"澳"而成。 |
