中文(繁體):泰雅族紋面刮血器,新北市八里區頂罟里(小八里坌庄十三行)
English: Tattooing was common amongst the Austronesian people in ancient times. The requirements of society had to be met to be eligible for tattoos, as a symbol of adult and status. Traditional Austronesian tattooing was done using the "hand-tapping" method; first a pattern was drawn on body, then the needle dippedin ink and tapped with wooden rod or mallet.
