| Description |
中文（臺灣）：在日治時期，花崗山腳下有兩間寺廟，分別為東臺寺與淨光寺，而此圖為昔日東臺寺的景象。東臺寺全銜為大樹山東臺寺，由鹽水港製糖株式會社社長荒井泰治發願所興建，且於1918年（大正7年）開始動工，次年興築完成寺廟。戰後東臺寺則與淨光寺、玉蓮寺合併為一寺，統稱為東淨寺，屬於曹洞宗月眉山龍泉寺支派。東淨寺在1951年（民國40年）因地震損壞，但經由賴寺中師父奔走募款後，寺廟也開始進行重建工程，1963年（民國52年）重建完成，除了仍保留一些日治寺廟原有的元素，同時也在旁邊興建了一座新的塔型建築，成為了新形式的東淨寺景觀。此影像收錄於《顧我洄瀾：花蓮歷史影像集》一書，為葉柏強先生撰寫、花蓮縣文化局於2016年（民國105年）出版。書中記錄了花蓮近百年的城市樣貌，是一本擁有豐富文史與圖像資料的書籍。 |
