English: Jingzhong Temple 中文：大潭精忠廟主祀抗金名將岳武穆王-岳飛。十七世紀初，有林姓先民從南靖縣永豐里侖仔社渡海來台，並恭請抗金名將岳飛的神像護祐船隻平安抵達。在古笨港靠岸後到了現在的大潭村，便在此地開墾，並將岳武穆王在自家供奉，後來因為神威顯赫子孫滿堂，為感念神恩，遂在村裡建廟供奉，成為嘉義縣唯一的一座岳王廟，也是目前本省歷史最悠久的岳武穆王祖廟。時至今日，每年農曆二月十五日岳武穆王聖誕之時，大潭村都會舉行隆重的祭典，許多村民爭相前往精忠廟祭拜岳武穆王。精忠廟也已經成為大潭村民的信仰中心，歷久不衰。 |
