Description
中文（臺灣）：國防部保密局北所（高砂鐵工廠）。

保密局北所位於臺北市大同區伊寧街46號，僅知約於1950年代初期設立，隸屬於專偵辦政治案件及保密防諜的國防部保密局。當時國防保密局在台北市有兩處偵訊監禁政治犯的監獄，其一為位於延平南路警備總部側的「南所」，及位於延平北路三段的「北所」。後者之位址，在日治時期的1917年為鹿港辜家的辜顯榮擔任社長的「高砂鑄造株式會社」，至1937年由辜岳甫之妻辜顏碧霞接管。至1941年，改名為「株式會社高砂鐵工所」，卻因辜顏碧霞曾掩護涉及鹿窟事件的作家呂赫若，使得辜顏碧霞的名下財產包含高砂鐵工廠於1950年遭到國民政府沒收，改造為審訊囚禁政治犯的「北所」。

辜顏碧霞亦被已「資助匪諜」的罪名遭判刑七年並關在其內，熬過長達五年的牢獄後，曾於1940年代活躍於文壇的辜顏碧霞為了保護家人，選擇焚毀自己部分日記與作品，並停止創作。1999年，在陳水扁執政期間，依〈戒嚴時期不當叛亂暨匪諜審判案件補償條例〉，辜顏碧霞提出平反申請，獲得政府寃獄補償。
