中央山脉に源を發する淡水の流は臺北に來つて帶の如く市の半面に沿うて奔る。｜昔はこの川による舟が交通の主なるものであつた。下流は今こそ港灣埋つて街衢また衰へたが、領臺以前には名港を稱せられた淡水港である。｜青巒、鬱樹、その間に漫々と流るゝ水、川さして大ならずとは云へ臺灣の豐かな氣分を酌むに足りる。｜（一九二七、五、撮影）（印畫の複製を禁ず）
