| Description |
中文（臺灣）：三井株式會社為日據時期日人在臺灣的最大財團，其經濟活動與殖民政策不可分，經濟事業範圍甚廣，其中物產會社影響力較大，除臺北總部外，臺南及高雄亦設支店，經營銀行及保險事業。其總部早在日據初年即設於館前路，當時附近金融及保險會社雲集。
原始建築約建於一九二０年，樓高三層，轉角有尖塔，屬於文藝復興建築之樣式，後因樑柱腐蝕，乃在一九四０年改建為今貌，採用較簡潔的建築風格，立面有許\\多水平窗框，轉角處及兩端山牆較高，有垂直的裝飾性小柱，這是當時世界各地流行的建築風格。大廳內當時亦裝設電梯，於今看來具有時代見證之價值。
