中文（臺灣）：本文係一篇人物傳記，主要介紹旗山街上一位婦人（實為美濃庄人），因守節教子而獲日本昭和天皇、臺灣總督表揚的故事，其婦人名為「童阿務」。
童阿務出生於清咸豐年間，其丈夫名為劉和順，36歲就英年早逝，留下4名子女，及二千圓的債務，而妻子童阿務僅32歲。生活雖然困苦，童阿務並未因此改嫁，而是艱辛扶養4名子女成人。其中幼子劉耀堂，在父親逝世那時才年僅2歲。後來在母親童阿務的培養下，考取醫專。畢業後，回到故里開業懸壺濟世。因童阿務的貞節，及劉耀堂的醫德，使其母子二人名聲大噪。 昭和3年，在昭和天皇即位大典前夕。當時臺灣總督川村竹治代表傳來訊息，天皇御面見母子二人。童阿務母子遂前往日本東京獲昭和天皇褒揚，並賜銀杯1座。母子二人回到旗山，獲仕紳百姓歡迎，因二人得天皇召見，被視為鄉里榮耀。 |
