中文（臺灣）：南方澳是漁村，是討海人的南方澳，也是文學的南方澳。黃春明原載1967年11月《文學季刊》第五期所發表的〈看海的日子〉，描述50年代南方澳漁村所延伸出來的社會景況，藉由書中白玫一生曲折與坎坷命運，在私娼寮中的皮肉賣笑生活中，仍不向命運屈服，最後不顧世俗的眼光，勇敢生下與恩客懷的孩子，帶著孩子來到南方澳，告訴孩子他父親的故事：「看哪！孩子那就是海啊！海水是鹹的哪！那裏面養著很多很多的魚……討海人坐在船上捉魚，捉紅的魚，白的魚，青的魚，黃的魚，統統給我的孩子吃。對了！你爸爸就是一個很勇敢的討海人，有一天他為了捉大魚，在很遠很遠的海上死掉了。我的乖孩子，你長大以後不要做討海人，你要坐大船越過這個海去讀書，你要做一個了不起的人。太平洋的波瀾，浮耀著嚴冬柔軟的陽光，火車平穩而規律地輕搖著奔向漁港。」 1983年，這部小說被拍成同名電影，入圍第20屆金馬獎，主演的女主角陸小芬榮獲最佳女主角獎。一篇小說，一個南方澳的時代故事，在南方澳除了賞海景、吃海鮮之外，文學的著墨，讓南方澳鹹鹹的海風加了少許淡淡人文味！ |
