English: This venerable manuscript of Pentateuco in Samaritan writing contains Hebrew, Samaritan Aramaic and Arabic, dated 744 of the Hijri (corresponding to A.D.1343). It is among the first "Hebrew" books to be explicitly mentioned in the 1533 Index Omnium Librorum (Index of All Books) of the Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana. |
