Fruticicola fruticum - a species of terrestrial mollusks of the class Gastropoda, subclass of the pulmonary family (Pulmonata) of the Bradybaenidae family, the only representative of this family in Ukraine.

Українська: Вид мешкає на узліссях, на вологих луках та полях. Кормові рослини: кропива (Urtica sp.), хміль (Humulus sp.) та інші трав’янисті рослини. З вересня живиться детритом. У жовтні та листопаді вид впадає у сплячку під листям на землі. Вустя черепашки при цьому закривається вапняковою мембраною. Равлики стають статевозрілими у віці 13-14 місяців. Кладка яєць відбувається лише на третій рік, зазвичай у травні та червні. Відкладають по 10-70 яєць у невеликі заглиблення в землі. Розвиток залежить від температури навколишнього середовища та продовжується від 26 до 50 днів. Равлики з’являються з черепашкою розміром 2-2,5 мм та 1,5 витками. Довжина життя у неволі становить 6,5 років.
English: The species lives on the edges of the forest, in wet meadows and fields. Forage plants: nettle (Urtica spp.), Hops (Humulus spp.) And other herbaceous plants. Since September it feeds on detritus. In October or November, the species hibernates under foliage or on the ground. At the same time, the mouth of the sink is closed with a lime membrane. Snails become sexually mature at 13-14 months of age. Eggs are laid only in the third year, usually in May or June. Snails several times lay 10-70 eggs in small depressions in the ground. Development depends on the ambient temperature and lasts from 26 to 50 days. Snails appear with shells ranging in size from 2 to 2.5 mm and 1.5 turns. Life expectancy in captivity is 6.5 years.
