Description
English: A rainbow is an optical phenomenon caused by refraction, internal reflection and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a continuous spectrum of light appearing in the sky and taking the form of a multicolored circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the part of the sky directly opposite the Sun, but can be caused by many forms of water in the air, not only rain, but also fog, spray and air dew. Rainbows can be full circles, but the observer usually sees only an arc formed by illuminated drops above the ground and centered on a line from the Sun to the observer's eye.
