Summary[edit]

Description
English: At the festival, the Vyatka whistler, a whistle. This is an original Vyatka national holiday. The first documented mentions of the holiday and its descriptions date back to the beginning of the XIX century. Previously, it was celebrated on the fourth Saturday after Easter. It began with a memorial service for the slain soldiers in the chapel of St. Michael the Archangel, located near the Razderikhinsky ravine. After that, the riotous fun began, which spilled out into the surrounding neighborhoods. People were making noise, whistling, throwing clay balls (in Vyatka, "balls"). There have been fist fights in the past. A fair was also held. Currently, the holiday has been revived again.
