Crystallized crystals of table salt in green watercolor

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Ordinary table salt has one interesting property: hygroscopicity. Hygroscopicity is the ability to absorb a large amount of moisture. It is when adding table salt to watercolor paints mixed with water that a white spot will appear over time - the result of moisture absorption by salt. With prolonged interaction: the crystallization process is observed.
English: In this image, you can see perfectly crystallized ordinary table salt in green watercolor.
