Українська: Ці яскраві птахи – щиглики. Вони зустрічаються в усій Україні протягом року. Восени й взимку зграї щигликів кочують луками й полями. Щиглик – дуже рухливий птах, що довго не перебуває на одному місці. Взимку птахи збирають насіння чортополоху, реп’яху та інших бур`янів, іноді частуються залишками соняшника. Часто до зграй щигликів приєднуються зеленяки, коноплянки, в’юрки... Зимові кочівлі щигликів цілком залежать від врожаю насіння і від снігопадів, що іноді засипають місця їх годівлі. Морозів птахи не бояться.
English: These colorful birds are European goldfinches. They can be found all over Ukraine throughout the year. In the fall and winter, flocks of goldfinches roam the meadows and fields. The goldfinch is a very mobile bird that does not stay in one place for long. In winter, the birds gather seeds from thistles, burdocks, and other weeds, and sometimes they eat sunflower seeds. Flocks of goldfinches are often joined by greenfinches, linnets, bramblings... The winter migrations of goldfinches depend entirely on the harvest of seeds and on snowfalls, which sometimes cover their feeding places. They are not afraid of frost. English: The goldfinch is a very mobile bird that does not stay in one place for long. |
