Description
Русский: Княжества и области белорусские и литовские на Большом гербе Российской империи. 1882.

Описание:

• герб Литовский: в червлёном поле серебряный всадник с мечом на серебряном коне, покрытом трёхконечным червлёным ковром с золотой каймой, на щите всадника восьмиконечный крест;

• герб Белостокский: щит рассечён, в первом червлёном поле выходящий серебряный орёл, во втором золотом поле лазуревый всадник с мечом на чёрном коне, покрытом червлёным ковром с золотой каймой, на круглом серебряном щите всадника червлёный восьмиконечный крест;

• герб Самогитский: в золотом поле чёрный, стоящий на задних лапах медведь с червлёными глазами и языком;

• герб Полотский: в серебряном поле всадник в чёрном вооружении на чёрном коне, покрытом червлёным ковром с золотой каймой, держащий червлёный меч с золотой рукоятью, на серебряном щите всадника восьмиконечный крест;

• герб Витебский: в червлёном поле серебряный всадник с мечом на коне, на круглом щите всадника восьмиконечный крест;

• Мстиславский: в серебряном поле червлёный волк головой влево.

Прим.: В описании у всадника на полоцком гербе щит серебряный, а на рисунке – красный, как в городском гербе. Из описания герба Полоцка 1781 года: "... в серебряном поле старый герб: на коне воин, держащий в правой руке саблю; на левой руке надет красный щит с двойным на оном крестом".
