Description
Русский: Гаммарус, темное поле + поляризация. Поверхность тела этого вида Гаммарус покрыта слоем кристаллов, которые видны только в поляризованном свете. Эти кристаллы обладают способностью двойного преломления света, поэтому при использовании поляризаторов они переливаются разными цветами. Данный экземпляр из реки Днепр.
English: Gammarus, dark field + polarization. The surface of the body of this species of gammarus is covered with a layer of crystals, which are visible only in polarized light. These crystals have the ability to double refract light, so when using polarizers, they shimmer in different colors. This specimen is from the Dnieper River.
