Українська: Микола Самокиш. «Бій Максима Кривоноса з Ієремією Вишневецьким» (1934).
У центрі картини - двобій. Кривоніс заніс шаблю над ворогом, що розгублено закрився щитом. У струмкій постаті Кривоноса з піднятою для удару рукою, у виразі обличчя передана незборима сила - таким склався його образ у народній пісенній творчості. Довкола вирує битва - окремі групи і постаті вдало поєднанні з центром, що сприяє враження кипучого бою з масою учасників. Зліва діагональ двобою підтримує спрямована до центру група селян, озброєних косами і кілками. У центрі композиції напружений контраст кольорів - постать Кривоноса в червоному жупані на білому коні, срібний рицарський обладунок князя контрастно виділяється на темно-коричневому тлі коня. Червонуваті відблиски на хмарному небі підсилюють драматизм полотна.
