Description
Magyar: Németújvár vára dél Burgenland legjelentősebb városában található, alig 10 km-re a magyar határtól. A vár egy bazaltkúpra épült és bármerről közelítjük is meg a várost, igen látványos képet nyújt. 1524-től a Batthyányok tulajdonát képezi és igen jelentős szerepe volt a törökök elleni küzdelmekben. A vár egy időben eléggé leromlott, ezért Batthyány-Strattmann László herceg ("a szegények orvosa") egy alapítványt hozott létre a vár fenntartására.
