English: Émile Roger, no. 85, came in fourteenth in the 1894 Paris–Rouen race, in a 2-4 seat, petrol-powered car.

(This car, noted as Benz-engined, was actually an imported Benz Vis-à-Vis model. Roger was Benz's licensed reseller in France but wouldn't mention that his automobiles were actually Benz-built.)
