'Saint' Figural mount FIXTURES AND FITTINGS
Description
English: Cast copper-alloy Limoges-style figurative mount in the form of an enamelled Saint. The three-dimensional head is bare and the eyes are hollow; the original settings are now missing. The body, which is only defined on the upper surface is slightly convex in profile, is hollow, and is decorated with curving cells infilled with pale blue enamel, although much of the enamel is now missing. There are two circular rivet holes on the body; the one at the chest contains the remains of an iron rivet and the one at the base is empty. Red/brown patina.
