Description
English: Kathakali is a classical dance drama of Kerala. It is regarded as a sacred dance form often performed during temple festivals in Kerala. The dance represents the fight between the good and evil. 'Katha' means 'story/traditional tale' and 'Kali' means 'play/performance'. The artists wear vivid and extravagant costumes and presents the tale with hand gestures and body movements.
