Summary[edit]
Description'Elizabeth', Wortley Top Forge - geograph.org.uk - 1226650.jpg |
English: 'Elizabeth', Wortley Top Forge The top level with crankshaft, flywheel and governor. I was there the day the crankshaft came out. It slipped in the chain sling and punched a hole in the flagstone floor below. Fortunately it slipped so that the crank fetched up in the sling. We were stood on girders and the dust fetched down from above temporarily blinded us but nobody fell off. That's now over 30 years ago. |
