Summary[edit]

Description
English: Photograph by Henry Joseph Whitlock (1835-1918), in the 2 August 1905 edition of The Sketch, of Frances Evelyn Maynard, "Daisy Greville", Countess of Warwick (1861-1938), addressing the Founder's Day audience of the Studley Castle 'Lady Warwick Agricultural College for Ladies', which she set up and funded, being one of a number of projects that ruined her financially.
'Daisy Greville' was wife to Francis Greville, Lord Brooke. She was the sole beneficiary of the Maynard fortune, and of Easton Lodge, Little Easton, Essex, and an English courtesan and socialite, later turned champagne socialist.
