| Description |
English: Retaining its stature from c.1889 this home still stands, it is numbered as 36. Robert Smelt is first to be found for here in 1898. From 1901 through to 1911 this was the home of Gilbert Fowler, whose name was used for a calling of an MSC Sludge Boat.
The home was utilised as a base for an art school which offered sketching classes by Robert Stuart Mayer in 1922-40. Into 1952 the family called Mayer still lived here. |
