"Worsted Reformed" cloth seal of late 17th century date
Description
English: A lead "Worsted Reformed" cloth seal produced in Norfolk in the late 17th century AD. The object consists of two circular discs joined by a connecting strip. One of the discs bears the legend "WORSTED REFORMED", while the other side is heavily worn and bent but has "2(7)", denoting the length, in yards, of the cloth. The discs measure 18.7mm in diameter and 5.5mm thick in total. The weight is 4.89g.
