Summary
[edit]Description"Stay Home - Save Lives" sign displayed by a TriMet bus during early weeks of pandemic, May 2020.jpg | "Stay Home – Save Lives" being displayed on the destination sign of a bus of TriMet (the transit agency serving the Portland, Oregon, metropolitan area), during the COVID-19 pandemic. This message was only in use during the early weeks of the pandemic, when local restrictions were at their maximum, with all schools and almost all businesses closed in Oregon, and the public were told to avoid going out so as to "flatten the curve" and prevent a surge in coronavirus infections that might overwhelm the healthcare system – during the early weeks when hospitals were short of needed supplies. |
