Caricature de Johann Braakensiek ( Weekblad voor Nederland, dAmsterdam, 27 mars 1906). * Cette amusante caricature de Braakensiek est, comme on le voit, relative au mariage d'Alphonse XIII avec la princesse de Battenberg, nièce d'Edouard VII. Elle peut être considérée par le fait de ses légendes mêmes, comme un document sur les mœurs, sur le caractère intime des deux souverains, Guillaume et Edouard — et ce dernier s'y montre, quoique de ressemblance secondaire, avec son extérieur de bon garçonnisme. Sur le côté, à droite, le roi d'Italie, Victor Emmanuel, et dans Le fond, le tsar, que Marianne prend affectueusement parle bras.
