B. keeping the girls busy Branch Number Three 77 camps, principally Camp Meade and Camp Merritt, were beingconstantly visited and a study made of the cooking utensilsand general equipment in constant use so that from time totime improvement could be suggested to increase the wearingqualities of the different items. Samples of enamel ware weresubmitted to Camp Meade and a study of the wearing qualitiesmade from the actual test in use, after which specifications weredrawn up covering the several items of enamel cooking ware. During the first few months of the war five or six sizes ofdish pans were being used, and from constant study in thedifferent camps the number of sizes was reduced to two, thisbeing considered ample for all requirements.
