  •  Neutral My neutrality comes from the fact that there is too much going on in this photo. It's not easy to see where some parts of spider end and where some parts of the plant start. Look at, for instance, the spider's fang, which seems to "mix" with the small leaves and branches of the plant. Tiago Fioreze (talk) 20:49, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • The fang, or better said the Cheliceraeare only visible from front because they are underneath the head. Do you mean the Pedipalpus, perhaps ? I took a lot of pictures with all angles and various backgrounds and thought this is the best picture which shows the most. Even with a more quieter background and a different angle (taxo picture at german wikipedia) you cannot see more. IMO. --Richard Bartz (talk) 21:21, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
      • @ Richard. Yes, Richard. I meant to say the Pedipalpus. Tiago Fioreze (talk) 08:30, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
        • The pedipalpus is looming fairly well because of the generous DOF and the hairs - as well the whole spider. I would share your opinion if the spider and the plant would be together (area of contact) in a blurry focal plane, but there isn't one (or very slight when being extremely fuzzy) :-) Quite contrary I think the separation of such a difficult scene (I don't wanted to show only a spider, because if, I would have catched her and placed her in a light tent) is succeeded very good, nearly perfect if I may so express myself. And if you ask why taking such a scene - the spider will answer by proxy "because I dont want to be eaten by birds, thats why I chosen this place - I'am almost invisible, yeah !" :-) Unmasking is the concept of this picture --Richard Bartz (talk) 12:18, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • @ Tiago. Are we looking at the same picture? I can see fangs, nor leaves, nor branches. Only a withered inflorescence with an impressive spider. Lycaon (talk) 07:33, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
        • @ Lycaon. Sarcasm aside... yes, we are looking at the same picture. However, there is no need for such childish behavior of yours only because we don't share the same opinion. I think the photo is great (thumbs up for Richard), but not perfect. Tiago Fioreze (talk) 08:30, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
        • What sarcasm?? What different opinion?? The photo is great, so?? There are actually no leaves, nor branches nor fangs visible on this picture, I'm not kidding. Lycaon (talk) 08:54, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
