Oppose Sorry! A very good quality image. But many images in the category give a closeup view of the actual Horseman. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 04:07, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
:  Comment Understood. However, many of the images showing closeup details do not include the entire sculpture and base. My nomination may not be the best but could you please pick a specific example that better exemplifies a VI. Thank you. Godot13 (talk) 12:24, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File:Bronze Horseman002.jpg or File:Der Eherne Reiter.jpg are better as VI in my opinion. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 03:32, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you are proposing these then please open a MVR - Godot13 (talk) 19:47, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have to. If you want, i can take back my opposition. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 04:08, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure how to respond to that. If you truly feel that the images you suggested are more valuable image representations of The Bronze Horseman then I do not want you to change your vote. I think, aside from its better image quality, the present image at full size provides more details than the others, but I may be somewhat biased... Godot13 (talk) 05:23, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well.... moved it to MVR now. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 09:01, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Support Find the complete monument and its surrounding situation more important than fine details of the object.  Question Is the given position really the camera point of view? --Ikar.us (talk) 02:06, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The camera did not have GPS ability so I provided the position of the object itself. Should I estimate my position for the location? - Godot13 (talk) 02:46, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
In that case you would use {{Object location}} to indicate the position of the object. cmadler (talk) 13:28, 28 January 2013 (UTC) ✓ Done Object inserted for Camera location. - Godot13 (talk) 18:51, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'd nevertheless prefer the camera position and heading. Easy to locate, gives more information and better presentation in the map (if it works...) --Ikar.us (talk) 00:00, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done Exact camera position entered. Angle was SW, but that doesn't show up. -Godot13 (talk) 05:23, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Finally it does. (in the map) --Ikar.us (talk) 23:44, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment This might be a good situation for a set of images. Or, alternatively, we might seek separate Valued Images for the statue alone, the rock ("Thunder Stone", purportedly the most massive rock ever moved) and the monument as a whole. cmadler (talk) 14:00, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
