  •  Comment If the formalism of the scope is better, there are still some problems: the term captive is essential for the category but can be hidden in the scope. But there is also the problem of sex that will have to be given in the scope but I am not competent in this case. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:28, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Question - But isn't it the case that an invisible difference doesn't warrant a Valuable Image? And we can't see captivity unless the ostrich is shown behind a fence or something, right? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:09, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment I do not agree that we should have categories for both wild and captive animals. The best image should be VI. If there is any doubt, the image from the wild should prevail. The use of captive animals may introduce problems over subspecies or other geographical differences. Photos of lion is a case in point. Subspecies identification is troublesome, yet lion from difference parts of the world have marked differences - such as the the Kalahari lion with its blacker mane. And it is important to undertake thorough checks before a nomination. These can take a long time, Ввласенко. Here we already have an FP of a head of this animal in captivity. •  Info My information.

User:Veliensis created category Struthio camelus in Kiev Zoo, for what I am grateful to him. Accordingly, I replaced the scope, what, by my opinion, resolves conflict.-- Ввласенко (talk) 15:12, 14 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
