Review (criteria)	Comment About the scope wording. The article en:Witch doctor indicates:"The witch doctors in Africa are known as 'sangomas in southern Africa [in Nguni societies]. The term "witch doctor" is also considered derogatory and was used by early colonialists to undermine the African culture; the correct English term for sangomas is "traditional healer"". There isn't a dedicated category in Commons or an article in a wikipedia, but a quick search on Google returns substancial results, including some academic works. By this way, one can learn that "Shona traditional healers" are called "n'anga" [add: in Shona language]. This information could be added in the image description (and there is an article in en:w, see en:N'anga—not illustrated yet ;-). I am just uncertain about the instrument the man holds in the picture. If it is a musical instrument, it doesn't appear among the typical instument used in Shona music (in the :en article at least), and the sources I looked through to have a quick view of Shona traditional healers' methods speak of "divining bones", for example, but not of such a horn...--Myrabella (talk) 21:47, 14 October 2009 (UTC)  Comment I do have an other picture of this man, but it is not really in focus. One can discern bones and shells, which are quoted to be specific items used by N'anga (see [1] and [2] for example). The image quality is fine enough to me for a VIC. A MVR to be set up? (Side comment: of course, an image with "hakata" (Shona divination dice) would be even more valuable (they are "the quintessential Shona instruments used to divine the source of illness or personal misfortune", see [3])...
