What makes it better than the image I linked, which is much more extensive? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:30, 17 March 2020 (UTC)  Comment @Ikan Kekek: There is a link between usage and the value of the image; the one you are quoting is blurred, the colors are wrong and the definition is lower, and as it is more extensive the result is worse. We can be forgiving for night images but in this case the two are very different. Initially I thought that the difference was a problem of scope. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 10:56, 17 March 2020 (UTC)  Comment - The other photo is not blurrier at review size, how do you know the colors are wrong, and the fact that a photo is used in no way proves it's the best in scope - that's totally backwards, as the entire point of VIC is to select the photo that's best in scope, not to ratify preexisting decisions by Wikipedians that could be wrong. There have been cases in which a photo had been used but another was better and was then substituted in Wikipedia articles after being selected as the VI.
