  • What's your scope, then? Not "granite", and "this boulder" wouldn't be part of the scope. I'm unsure there's a useful scope, but I'd like to see it. There are many rocks that contain several minerals. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:45, 16 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This image is very beautiful but, the scope can not be suitable. Granite is a rock as such it contains quartz feldspar and a phyllosilicate. But there are always other mineral species that come in addition depending on the deposit. Here there are iron oxides. If we want to find a particularity we can mention garnets that are very common in this part of the Alps. But the photograph does not allow to verify it. From a mineralogical point of view, no scope is possible. From a geological point of view there might be some interest. The shape of the rock is rounded and it rests on other fragments which have the same aspect. These are rocks that have been rolled by a glacier and in the background we can see the U-shaped valley typical of glacial erosion. We could go into discussion to finalize an acceptable scope.--Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:13, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
