It is rather a cruelty in relation to the photographer . This crab wounded my hands with claws to bleeds during a photo-session. A few seconds later after this photo this crab was turned over to a natural pose. I have a proof that this crab remained alive . Just compare Eriphia_verrucosa_male_2009_G2.jpg and Eriphia_verrucosa_male_2009_G5.jpg EXIF timestamp. A dead crab typically has own eyes which fell down. Here Eriphia_verrucosa_male_2009_G5.jpg eyes are directed up, this is alive animal. -- George Chernilevskytalk16:18, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
