Question - That's the full biological name, or should the abbreviations be turned into full words? I'm not familiar with those abbreviations. Also, why is there only one photo in that category? It seems to be a parent category, so maybe this photo should have its own subgallery? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:07, 23 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Comment It's a perfectly formatted temporary name. It is a new material for science. There is an important problem of scientific ethics; specimens that are under study are embargoed until the publication is published. Some A 'journals may refuse the article on this argument. It would be wise not to interfere with researchers. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:23, 23 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • OK, I don't know anything about this. But do you think it should have its own subgallery, or should that wait for a scientific consensus to develop that this variety is its own species or something? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:04, 23 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I don't think it should have its own gallery/category. As you will see from my upcoming nominations, our system here does not cater well for species yet to be described by scientists. I think it is very important to promote VIs of these 'new' species, arguably much more important than promoting images of well-known species. I have followed the guidelines of the most respected experts. It would be nice for me to claim I have 'discovered' a new species (actually my wife found it), but that would be unwise (unfortunately!). sp. = species; aff. = affinity.
