Comment Unfortunately, due to the worn surface I can't decipher enough of the text to identify its type. It could be an epitaph for a married couple (two coats of arms). But you may do some research to find out what type of inscription it is. --Palauenc05 (talk) 07:41, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your suggestion. We were there during our holiday. So we don't live there. I don't know where to inform. It is a pity, but I think I have to withdraw the photo. Kind regards,--Agnes Monkelbaan (talk) 17:11, 10 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You have to look in Swiss heraldry, here are two tracks that seem interesting. 1 2 --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:21, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the tip. Lavin falls under the municipality of Zernez. With those names I searched for Hags. There I found this https://www.heraldry-wiki.com/heraldrywiki/index.php?title=Lavin. Can I do something with that? Greetings, --Agnes Monkelbaan (talk) 17:07, 11 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It is not very similar. It would be necessary to question a Swiss scholar, User:Sailko could perhaps help us. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:12, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it is very likely to be a tomb stone for a couple. From the inscription I can read some latin, something like "Ammannus Jacobus Ludovicus Wallentinus et de Heustachia planta coniuges..." Not sure which is the family name in it, but you can ask someone to read more. --Sailko (talk) 11:02, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much for your help. The memorial stone is in the outer wall of the small church. there are graves around the walled church.--Agnes Monkelbaan (talk) 17:44, 12 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
