Comment I am struggling with your scope in this nomination. The nominated image, while having unique characteristics, does not seem to define “a generic field or category within which your image is the most valuable example”.
The graphic of three (maybe wise; maybe not) monkeys is not an enduring sculpture of great art. It is closer to a temporal political statement on wheels that can be moved around. The scope link to the 2021 flood scenes seems disconnected from this image of one-year-later which does not show flood damage. Comment I was thinking about that, too. IMO the aftermath of an event is closely connected to the event itself. I went to that region one year after the flood, it still looks like a battlefield there. Here the three monkeys criticise the failure of politcs after the devastating flood of the Ahr. That criticism is a big issue in Germany (possibly in other countries, too). The object (whether mobile or not) visualizes the public opinion one year after the catastophe, in which 134 people died. However, as a VI nomination, the scope for this image covers about three separate VI topics which COM:VIS actively discourages.
