| Reason | It shows a ship of the ship class in action in good light and quality, I believe better than other ships in the category. A crew member, greats the ship passing by (I was positioned on another Danish naval ship passing by at faster speed). I should mention that there are six ships in this class. Two of these are used for training of cadets in navigation (such as the depicted), two others are (unmanned) drone ships used as minehunters (no pics of these on commons, but see here for an example). These four are military grey as the one depicted. The last two ships are painted in orange/cream and used for hydrographic surveying as are equipped with a multibeam echosounding device. There are some visual differences between these three variants of the class, but still the contour of the ships are invariant and I feel a "class" scope is justified. -- Slaunger (talk) |
