  •  Comment "Dit" in this context means "called", but is <<Le Flûteur>> "The Flutist"? I've only ever heard, seen or said <<le flûtiste>>, and the instrument he's holding sure doesn't look like a flute, but rather, a reed instrument. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:40, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment There is room for explanation. The work has two possible titles: the “Flûteur” or “the recipe”. Flûteur is an obsolete term which has not been used since the end of the 19th century. Towards the end of his active life this word had a pejorative context and meant either a bad instrumentalist or a bad instrument.
