- Question Nice, but the top crop is a but short. @Isiwal: Could you give us a bit more? Yann (talk) 16:11, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- CommentI have already deleted the files from 2018. Also, the cropped part is not very big, it wouldn't make the image much better. --Isiwal (talk) 07:19, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- Weak oppose IMO considering the noise and the crop, the standard for photos of captive zoo animals is higher — Rhododendrites talk | 16:31, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- @Rhododendrites: This is not a zoo photo, the animal is in a wildlife park. 20 upper 17:53, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- A wildlife park is a zoo with large enclosures. Some other photos from this park: [1] [2] — Rhododendrites talk | 18:00, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- That's not what Google say. 20 upper 18:32, 11 September 2023 (UTC)

- Oppose It is an awkward crop and technical quality is modest. We can expect very much more from shots of captive animals. Charlesjsharp (talk) 18:07, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- Fair enough. I can't find any quality pictures on Commons :(. I might as well search Flickr for images to upload. 20 upper 18:31, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- Well, many of the regulars here have a backlog of possible FP nominations!! Charlesjsharp (talk) 21:52, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose Common animal, at least in North America, so a more outstanding photo would be desired, and the upper crop is close enough that some of its ear fur is cropped out. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:28, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- Just because it's common in your part of the world, doesn't mean you have to oppose it. Given that eastern green mambas are relatively prevalent around here, I guess you would respond in the same way if I proposed an FPC for one. 20 upper 17:23, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- If it were of the same quality and I supported it, you would be right to point out that it's a common and easy-to-photograph snake, if it is in fact easy to photograph. The unsaid part of my remark is that raccoons are often pretty comfortable around people. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:52, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- Eastern green mambas are extremely difficult to shoot. Their camouflage just makes them completely blend in with the surroundings, which is typically a tree. Raccoons are pests, so I suppose that's why they feel at ease near people. We don't have pests that are as large as raccoons, but I guarantee you that our wildlife is highly deadly, so perhaps I should stick with the fauna I grew up with. I'm ten-years-old, by the way. 20 upper 16:40, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- I'm impressed. You're a very intelligent 10-year-old! -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 19:25, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- I'm kidding, buddy; I'm shocked that you took my word for it. I believe you are aware that no 10-year-old would be interested in Commons. 20 upper 20:47, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- There's no reason why no 10-year-old would be interested in a site with beautiful photos. If there were websites for geography enthusiasts in 1971, when I was 6, I would have probably been a member. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:14, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- I firmly believe that lifelong interests can be discovered at an early age. At age 6, I discovered my love of animals. I think that Gen Xers make the finest nominations and reviews, but perhaps FPC needs to hear from us Gen Zers who have fresher, and more diverse ideas. 20 upper 04:57, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
- More diversity is definitely a good thing! -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 07:48, 15 September 2023 (UTC)
