SHORT DESCRIPTION
  •  Oppose Common animal, at least in North America, so a more outstanding photo would be desired, and the upper crop is close enough that some of its ear fur is cropped out. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 05:28, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Just because it's common in your part of the world, doesn't mean you have to oppose it. Given that eastern green mambas are relatively prevalent around here, I guess you would respond in the same way if I proposed an FPC for one. 20 upper 17:23, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • If it were of the same quality and I supported it, you would be right to point out that it's a common and easy-to-photograph snake, if it is in fact easy to photograph. The unsaid part of my remark is that raccoons are often pretty comfortable around people. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:52, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Eastern green mambas are extremely difficult to shoot. Their camouflage just makes them completely blend in with the surroundings, which is typically a tree. Raccoons are pests, so I suppose that's why they feel at ease near people. We don't have pests that are as large as raccoons, but I guarantee you that our wildlife is highly deadly, so perhaps I should stick with the fauna I grew up with. I'm ten-years-old, by the way. 20 upper 16:40, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • There's no reason why no 10-year-old would be interested in a site with beautiful photos. If there were websites for geography enthusiasts in 1971, when I was 6, I would have probably been a member. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 21:14, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I firmly believe that lifelong interests can be discovered at an early age. At age 6, I discovered my love of animals. I think that Gen Xers make the finest nominations and reviews, but perhaps FPC needs to hear from us Gen Zers who have fresher, and more diverse ideas. 20 upper 04:57, 15 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
