- Info It requires a really low (negative) tide to take an image like the nominated one. Such low tide happens only few times per year during day hours.
- I don't think the tide has any preference for the night... I would say that such low tides happen, in average, as often during the day as during the night. -- Alvesgaspar (talk) 22:01, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- I believe you are mistaken. To take such image the tide should be at least -.9 feet. Please take a look at that tide table You will see that there were 8 tides as low as I needed in December. Only three tides out of those 8 were at more or less good time. The tides that happen after 4 p.m.are not good, the sun is way too low for taking images. The sun sets at around 5 p.m. in December in San Francisco. Now please look at June month. You will see June had 10 tides that were low enough, from which only 2 were during day hours.The sun rises at around 6 a.m. in San Francisco in June.
